Dork (In A Box)
Just like it says in the title bar.
I'm trying not to think about it, where it = life, and channeling all my frustrations into the inch between Koteth's fists and Mileena's face.
Koteth isn't my other. I rather suspect Kung Lao is. He's no good, but he's the most religious, and certainly willing to die for an idea(ls), which is as close to a polar opposite as I have.
None of my characters are good. I can champion good characters and rejoice in their successes, but I can't relate to them unless they're heavily damaged (see: Elric, De Jarjayes, Crewe, et. al., and a sharp reader will see an additional common thread.)
I was a lot like Naruto when I was ten, but Maito Gai is probably my favorite. Kakashi's too awesome--basically, he isn't enough of a dork for me to be able to relate to him well.
Anime!Ino is kind of hot.
No, wiseass, I don't fancy Anko. I do actually have layers. XD
Notice that such protagonists as I actually follow are all injured socially by either their own sins or those of their direct family, or both. That's the main reason I couldn't care less about Harry Potter: he's broken, but it doesn't cost him anything (aside from the odd scar-induced migraine, his woes, they are clearly affecting him SO MUCH).
Harry is surrounded by happy magical support and flawless loving surrogate family on every side, CONSTANTLY, which is, I must add, the reason he always wins. And also the reason he bores me.
Really. Anybody can do it with enough help.
Give a monkey in a dark closet enough time, and it'll eventually typeShadows Shakespeare.
I should go on a rant about how Ed is the only handicapped character I've ever seen anywhere that was at all validating in any way, and how Lan Fan stealing his thunder pisses me right the fuck off because she's fundamentally a love interest even if she's hot and awesome, so I want to like her, but I can't, but meanwhile, Winry is growing on me despite my formerly mountainous dislike OH HAI DERAIL SENTENCE *deep breath*. And oh, Envy, you beautiful bastard, don't you dare hurt my Mei Chan, or I will sic manga!Pride on you.
Notice that Invidia and Avaricia are both female nouns. Double-switch hatesex yuri FOR THE WIN. And yes, I should write it, and I will.
BTW: manga!Wrath/Greed? I SHIP IT. *More issues than a magazine.* <3
...Tiny asides are tiny.
