Wait.

♘everyone has dirty fandom secrets or guilty pleasures or unpopular opinions.
♘list five of yours.

♘profit??

1) I cannot stand River/Jayne. That's not a secret, but it's definitely unpopular.
2) If there isn't lesbian subtext in whatever shojuo it is, I'm not reading it; that's called "a waste of paper."
3) Writing fanfiction, and writing it well, is a craft, not an art.
4) Whenever Joss Whedon actually opens his mouth, I want to punch him in it.
5) Family Guy? Isn't funny.

5 is unpopular?

On Planet UCF?

The stares I get. I might as well say "I eat babies." Except they'd probably laugh.

A-and. Fandom friends and even some of my teachers are convinced that it is hilarity in a box.

Yeah.

No.

I can't stand Family Guy, either. The trashy humor aside, I get enough political disagreement amidst my friends. The last thing I want to do is watch something that's supposed to entertain me, infuriate me as it insults my beliefs every other week. :D

I'll stick with South Park.

Ahaha, I'm the same way, just with Beavis and Butthead (I'm old, shut up, lololol XD)

Like, Mike Judge obvy doesn't agree with most of the stuff I consider important, but he wasn't a total flaming dick about it in every single episode. It was just about grossout humor and two dudes breaking shit.

There are parts of South Park that are totally hilarious! I would never have discovered that if not for Youtube. I find that friends-of-friends tell me the best bits, anyway, so I'm not a regular watcher.

My biggest beef with Family Guy is, uh, everything. The timing is shitty, the punchlines (when there are any; let's just say "fuck" instead! It works for rappers yodawg) are consistently crap, and it can't seem to remember what the hell it's about from one episode to the next.

Typical episode: REPUBLICAN DONKEY BALLS MENSTRUATION LAWNMOWER; THAT'S FUNNY RIGHT. LAUGH OR I'LL SKULLFUCK YOU IN YOUR SLEEP. THAT'S ALSO A JOKE. HA. HA. ARE YOU LAUGHING YET? LAUGH, MONKEY BOY, LAUGH.

It just comes off as so disgustingly desperate that I can't watch.

Yeah.... Never watched an episode, but you apparently Synopsed it just like South Park did (Cartman hates the show, too, and tried to get it taken off the air. Enter the discovery of the decade: The writers of FG are found to be MANATEES!). I didn't get into SP until two years ago. When it first came out all everyone cared about was the cussing (arguably better timed than in FG, but it's still just... vulgarity), and at 11 and cussing with my parents, why the hell would I think that's great? o_O But now that they've gotten more entrenched in their style, Dad and I watch it and laugh hysterically XD

Yeah, I was too young to appreciate B&B ^^;I definitely remember them, though. And I'm all for the dumb humor once in a while, especially when it's not trying to push some politicians' agenda.
