Very soon my computer will be returned to me. I may not wait to order the parts, I may dash out and buy them. Ordering them has not prevented them from malfunctioning, nor has it made them last longer, and dashing out and buying means getting them NOW.

I've since studied the correct lyrics, which are here (opens in a new window and is actually a sequence of images, I suppose to both look nice and prevent copy-paste in one smooth stroke).

I'm notorious for not quite hearing what the singer sings. For instance, there were a few Linkin Park songs where I believed they were belting out swear words they were not actually using, and I've always "heard" NIN's Closer as more violent than the lyrics sheets swear it actually is.

So, here's a subtler, lesser example.
