Stayin' Alive (Not An Addict)
Dec. 4th, 2009 01:15 amAlmost there.
I'll be so happy when this is actually all done for reals.
Too exhausted to finish the timelog/wrap/memos.
Finished the website and alternates for the design. Long nasty story that I don't want to rehash, 'cause it only happened because I'm so tired all the time. No other reason.
So much of this semester has been my own damn fault, and I will not at all be sorry to see it over with.
I'll finally get to stop spinning plates for what, fifteen whole days?
Burnout, I'm pretty sure I am working on a whopping case of it.
OTOH, I now know some things about some professors in my fields. Like the fact that they're really awesome people, who know really cool things, but they demand carrying forty-odd pounds of dead tree, WHICH you have to photocopy yourself, out of your own pocket, actually costing more than the typical $60-$85 communications/social science text.
To say nothing of trying to get the papers away from the Reserve desk so that you CAN photocopy them.
God almighty. You'd think I was after the Presidential suitcase with the nuclear codes inside.
And heaven forfend you should want to SCAN the books, so you can get four sheets to a page instead of two. The screaming leviathan BEAST of a machine on the third floor probably emits frequencies only bats can hear. No lie, it makes the table tremble.
This entry had a point but it escapes me.
I put XI and Up into my queue and intend to watch them back to back to back to back to back upon their arrival.
