Truth (Beauty)
May. 2nd, 2009 08:07 amI just. Fanmixes. What is it with fanmixes and fucking Imogen Heap?
You realize you're outing yourselves as the whitest nerds to ever exist. I'm just saying.

Date: 2009-05-02 04:38 pm (UTC)Then again, about a third of this list applies to me, though I like a lot of them - e.g., Japan and expensive sandwiches - for very un-white reasons.

Date: 2009-05-02 08:48 pm (UTC)OH THAT. <3 I happen to be dead-fish-with-mayonnaise white, and I enjoy it (woo farmer's market!), but it also gives me the giggles. XD
I had a serious lol for example that Stephanie Meyer and I are gaga for the same exact Queen-knockoff band XD

Date: 2009-05-02 09:03 pm (UTC)I swear my younger brother and his friends use that site as a style checklist. It's amazing.
If you like something Stephenie Meyer does, you're the wrong kind of white for the internet. :D I didn't know Muse was a Queen knockoff. I need to actually listen to it now because Queen is fabulous.

Date: 2009-05-04 12:12 am (UTC)Honestly, I readed some of Twilight over this one lady's shoulder on the bus, and it's...vampires...and...and while the other girls all wanted to be vampires, I kind of wanted to be Barbarella...so, yeah...
...But I really don't understand the SHEER VOLUME OF RABID HAET, either. Stephen King is worse, waaay, waay infinitely worse, and people form lines to suck his literary pseudonym like there's candy inside. *Shrug.*
Friend of a friend wrote a parody version of Twilight that cracked me up though; I'll see about getting you the link if this is relevant to your interests?

Date: 2009-05-04 12:40 am (UTC)I think that the reason Twilol attracts the hate is because it's got so many unfortunate implications that the anti-fans assume the readers are dumb enough to not see past. tbh, I think they might be right, but I'll be honest, the hate far surpasses anything it actually merits.
Twilulz are always relevant. I confess to unironically enjoying the books - they're my literary equivalent of those Hershey Kisses with the cherry filling, I don't really think they're that great but when I start I can't stop myself and half of them are gone before I look up and am like jesus why did I do that - but I'm a lol!fan at the same time (hell, I've even got a Growing Up Cullen icon). Send it on!
