Going back and forth between my MK X-Box titles: the Armageddon models really are a considerable improvement. A lot of that is some differences in light and surface-thingy-scatter-what-is-this-word-I-don't-KNOW.

Also: air kombat. Much, much nicer when you suddenly don't have it anymore. You immediately want it back. The same with wake-up. It's in the details. Does actually change the face of the game.

Wake-up and air attacks are what keep my boy in business when he oughta fall down dead. XD

(It's because they sort of depowered the reach in general in Blades stance. I used to be able to nail the other guy to the fucking wall and keep him there. *Bitch bitch, whine whine, piss and moan.* He did keep knockdowns, though. This is good.)

Did you know, he's one of the few with a sweep that absolutely cannot under any circumstances be parried? Yes. This wins me matches. I will now sit and gloat.

And you can still sit there ducking and stabbing. Most of them can't hit you. Except Scorpion with that fucking fireball kick thing that has to be blocked from a standing position. Kind of defeats the point of ducking. >:^P

f,f+3 is wicked fast but he leaves his hands up for a second and it telegraphs. Most smart players can get in under it and deal out a world of hurt UNLESS you can pop back with...umm, they used to call it Blade Fury. It's got a different name now but it's the same damn move. XD

Which is harder to do now. The good news is, popping up into the air at random when you overdo a D,U is no longer a bad, bad thing. As long as you get there first, Baraka has decent cheapness with which it is to be walking all over the enemy. Once again, nine-tenths of those are knock-down based.

Now, if only this game came in tag-team mode. You could line up absolutely classic things, like forcing Scorpion and Sub-Zero to be on the same team. Fujin and Raiden. Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.

That would kick ass.

I don't think the fanbase would go for it at all, but it would kick ass.

Goodnight.

Oh, they so so should have done tag-team. They could have played with the animosity and/or alliances between characters. It would have been a great thing to do as a last nod to the current storyline, since the next game is supposedly going to have all new characters. Like in Tekken Tag Tournament, when you made teams with characters that had some relationship to each other, their little character animations before the fights would change. If they hated each other, they'd be all arms crossed and facing away or yelling at each other. If they were friends, or student and teacher, or relatives that actually got along, they might do something in sync. It was fun, and a nice little nod to the storyline of previous games, since TTT was kind of like MKT (and Armageddon) in that it was sort of just a gimmick to put all the characters in a game and didn't so much have a storyline or advance the characters. But it was a good gimmick, 'cause tag-teaming was loads of fun.

Someone should make a game where the characters have, like, a tag-team compatibility that changes their stats somehow. Like if they're friends, initially they work better together; and if they're enemies it's bad. It would be hilarious if an enemy would sometimes refuse to tag in or something and just watch the other guy get pounded. But then your saved games should change and adapt all the ratings as you go on, so like if one of the characters loses in the tag team, the other one gets mad at them and the compatibility rating goes down. And if they constantly win, even if they're enemies, they sort of gain a grudging respect and start working really well together. That would be fun.

It would've been so great. I love your idea! Lol I can totally see, say, Kano getting knocked around, and Sonya just kind of standing there like, "No, no, hit him from the LEFT this time!" instead of tagging in. XD

I like the whole penalties/rewards structure, too...That could actually make online play worth something and also a lot, lot more fun, 'cause it would balance it a bit. And. Fun. But I said that already.

Totally SWEET ideas! <3

And yes ma'am. I loves me some squids. I wanted octopi initially but teh squids are growing on me and are very pretty in their own right.

Hah. There is no edit button and my textbox threw up in some incredibly odd way. Meaning, I didn't cut and paste.
