Yah, I know, everyone else > me because they post THE BESTEST FINISHED PRODUCT OMG.

My brain doesn't work that way. My house. Besides, ppl tend to like the ones that make me go "Eeew!" and reject.

Many of these started out as caps by [livejournal.com profile] pic_unperfect, whose filenames are hilarious. ^_^

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Well, it is.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket It came out less obvious than I wanted. I may re-do it as soon as I can remember how I did it in the first place. XD

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I want some text for this one...*ponder.*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket <-- a flame-war icon! With Greed on it! ^_^

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket *Licks the screen.*

And the Kimbley Suite:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket // Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket // Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket // Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It was a fun process involving painting on with one default brush and then erasing off with a different/complementary one in two layers.

I'm done now.

You do great things with color and texture I'll never be able to match.

<3 !

I dunno. It mostly comes of being not-desperately-clued in to how the cool kids do it, so I have to make stuff up in-between. XD

I recently discovered the New Fill Layer button and it is being my friend ^_^

I don't like the Selective Coloring thingy that's going around. It's too...lensy. Melty? It looks like a broken tv. Feh.

(I am sooo jealous of it for real. *Envy envy.*)

Umm, I have found that going Duplicate Layer>Sharpen>Screen and then Duplicate>Overlay does tasty things to contrast, especially in icons taken from TV/photo (it tends to flatten out cartoons or illustrations for some reason).

There's all these million-step-scary-instruction ways to do stuff, (most of which are out of my depth), but that's my favorite way to start.
