I give you:



FOR WIDESCREEN: Ratio is 16:9.

Differences from common 4:3 measurements are bolded for easier lookup.

Large: 1280 x 720

Medium: 640 x 360

Small: 160 x 90

FULLSCREEN and (MOST) U.S. TELEVISION SHOWS: Ratio is 4:3.

Large: 1024 X 768

Medium: 800 x 600

Mini-Medium: 640 x 480

Small: 400 x 300

The cool thing about 4:3 is, most computer monitors follow this resolution scheme, so it's a bit easier to remember and predict.

DIGITAL VIDEOS are 1.5:1.

To fix that.

Take everything that measures 720X480 and make it 720x540. It is now TV-sized (4:3), which means it's PRETTY now, instead of freakish.

BEWARE: some Joss Whedon shows are in Widescreen.

There's something besides just normal widescreen, because there's sort of widescreen (Firefly, Number 1), which is 16:9, and then there's cinema widescreen (Serenity, Ooh La La), which is more like 2:1. Wikipedia spits out a couple different numbers for that, and neither of them fits my Serenity 'caps very well.

I found out this morning that the Bjork vids are in 1.5:1. And then edit!posted a cheap fix. XD
