It's amazing how calming, how focused paper folding is. I got lost in it, crease, crease, open, flatten, crease. <3
Haiku are cheap in English. It takes about seven syllables to make a first line in English that's any good. Middle line ends up too short usually, also.
Poem ends up too short in English. I have always sort of...desired after them, in a mental sense?...Perfect picture in three lines.
Fuck drabbles. Haiku are the real deal.
I also admire Ray Bradbury. Never a word wasted! Strong, masterful tension.
Embarrassing: violet, orchid, mulberry, eggplant, lavender--all shades of my writing; can the astute tell me what they are in common?
My verse! The poetry is awake, and I'm patiently not scaring it so it will blossom to life and not snap off in my hand, scattering when I reach for it.
I've been dead. Now I'm awake!
Ascend heavenward, oh, song of prayer
