nyohah <3. Not all icons have blanks, and not all blanks are bases, and so on. Because I'm lazy. Credit if you take. Not like I have the time to hunt you down if you don't, but it'd be the nice thing to do. Thus, please.

The font used is called Clingy. I got it free at dafont. I really like it, because it looks fantastic even at small sizes (8 pixels and it's still legible!), is relatively elastic, and has a slightly off-kilter presence despite its heaviness. I plan to use it throughout the icon set.
I'm probably proudest of the final one, in which I used Gaussian Blur, a teal-toned spotlight, and some other trickery to copy that Selective Color business I see going around. It's an alternate crop, and possibly a different screencap, of the "brave new world" idea.
Speaking of which: I'm not entirely happy with it. It didn't pick up the green as much as I wanted, but that's not such a big deal.
Lyrics for army10 are by Jay-Z, lyrics for army06 are by Fluke. Text on army05 is a slogan, or possibly song lyrics, that I have seen floating around on other icons. I says to myself, "Self, go forth and mimic." I like what resulted. The 'cap was that blurry naturally.
The one for army03 came out with a fake Selective Color effect pretty much by itself. My standard filter practices (Duplicate > Blend Mode: Screen > Duplicate >Blend Mode: Overlay ) just brought that out; it was always there. I can't remember how many sets of that I used, though, or in what combination.
The two "dude" icons (07 and 08) are identical except for different contrast. The idea being that people with better monitors can "see" the darker one better, and those of us with cantankerous monitors can "see" the brighter one a bit better.
I'm pretty sure that was all.
