Fellow's rude. Urgently needs coming unwound and beaten down about seven pegs each in quick order; there’s one fastest, best way of tackling both. And there are other things moving behind the man’s eyes, behind the mask.

He's seen it before, endlessly, in ranks and aisles, staring up at him like he can help. He’s memorized the set of grief on a man's face.

"Not fancy enough for you? Too bad."

"Come on." That's not a denial, however much they’d both like it to be.

Baraka's good at the military game. He can lower himself to pull someone else up.

my thoughts exactly. The creators wanted something 'new and darker'...but are they so burned out of ideas that they needed what sounds like a crossover fanfic. That's not creative, that's a sellout.

and there was so much hope for the series during Deadly Alliance..but now, it's like they care more about being 'better and faster' that they're loosing what makes the actual series.

Sonya:....*laughs* do they seriously think that someone like..Lex Luthor, could take Shao Kahn or Shang Tsung. Or someone like the Joker? Really..this sounds too much like a joke.
I did need a good laugh though.

It's scary how much I've thought about this in the last three days.

I like DC more than Marvel, or at least like Bats, Supes and Wonder Woman waaay more than I like the X-Men, and Mortal Kombat is my great fandom love...But at the same time seeing them together is painful.

As far as Lex, I think he'd do okay with Kahn, 'cause Lex is a super-genius--Kahn hangs out with Shang because Kahn's short in the brains department (the stuff that let him finally let him take over Earth for even a little while? ALL SHANG'S IDEA). Lex would just have to outsmart him in some way.

But um, yeah, Shang Tsung would make mincemeat out of Lex. Superman might fare a little better. Shang and Bats would cancel each other out--both too cunning.

Joker would die, like, instantly, against Shang, but on the other hand Joker would pulverize somebody like Johnny Cage, so it really kind of depends on the individual matchups.

I dunno. If they're gonna do it anyway and nothing we say can possibly stop them...I just hope it's fun to play. XD

I think this would make a vastly more awesome limited miniseries comic than it would a game. Actually. Like as I was typing this, that occurred to me. Huh. 'Cause comics are more sellout-y and fanservice-based by their very nature, so it's not as brain-shatteringly bad.

I dunno. I'm still kind of laughing at them, but I have no real idea what to make of it.

And hey, we get our characters back! Ed keeps threatening to kill them all and replace them with new people, and we know how much he sucks at that. Hsu Hao, anyone? >_

I'd love to see Shang vs. Superman actually, the psychological battle would be entertainment enough. Superman's too into his ideals of the human race, Shang on the other hand...he's lived for so long he's seen just how 'ideal' humans can be.

I'm hoping Sonya's bio card is true and we do see her in future games...unless they cripple her storyline even more.
