The Hacienda (Must Be Rebuilt)
Mar. 3rd, 2007 02:53 pmI moved all the dates forward. The fictional ones.
The "first tournament" follows more closely the movie conventions, and took eight weeks, beginning Aug. 18th, 1995.
It's perpetually 2002, roughly, at the time of the story. Late summer/early autumn 2002. Shinnok has been ruler of all he surveys since Y2K.
Kitana first heard evil singing back to her in September of '98.
I have a handcramp from writing this all down.
It goes on paper and up here to remind me, because I have a habit of losing data, and frankly, I will not do this over again.
If anything else happens, that's it, it's over, I'm throwing in the towel and never knocking out anything that isn't Baraka/Mileena/Greed ever again.
So let's just keep this one set of public files. Yes.
I'm going to be leaving another school, and another home, and this is the first home I've ever lived in that they owned, and it all feels very weird and anxious-making.
On the upside, the cough is about gone, the bills are paid, and I have The 4400 on the hd to tide me over until Monday. And then for the long, cold goodnight until more new Heroes airs.

Date: 2007-03-04 03:39 pm (UTC)I'm confusing, here, because I'm confused myself.
Short version is, they want to move between Four Year Uni and Stepdad's Work, only all the communities out there are a) just an edge past our buying ability, b) mostly still empty lots, c) mostly sold out already, and d) just not a good fit.
I don't understand the burning desire, myself, because this is a nice house in an okay neighborhood, and we can't re-fi to have the money to BUY a different house until like November or something anyway, and by then everything will be sold out.
For the other stuff: we're on the right end of the banana peel just now, if barely, and basically the one thing I know they won't ever do is kick me out. My adolescence was a crash primer in that particular certainty. *Halo! With harp and everything!* lol.

So, nah, don't have to move, but it would help with Four Year Uni if we did, BUT, timing's utterly wrong and I get nervous in those "model homes" where all the furniture is perfect and none of the faucets work and all the books and TVs and...stuff!...are all fake props. O_O;;;;
