A Mary Sue litmus test.
ETA: Shadows!Baraka IS NOT A SUE (16), despite all the canonfuckery I could think of, and therefore, no, not all my men are sex-with-wimmins-pls desire fulfillment handpuppets.

Haha. Greed is a borderline Sue. (34) HE HAS PURPLE EYES. I didn't make that up! That is not my fucking fault. It's canon. All the homunculi do.
The "was an alchemist" (yay past life!) and "blatant happy shiny defiance of sexual orientation and/or logic in choosing partners and/or device-shaped partner substitutes"...Yeah, those are completely my fault. *Is very, very smug.* ^_^
Brin is not a Sue. (17) (most points: defiance of sexual etc. etc., temper type flaws, angsty past)
Shockingly, trysexual noncanon femmeslash Leena is STILL barely a borderline Sue. (30 exactly. O_o;) (temper flaws, abuse abuse angst and suffering WOES, and irrational femmeslash attachments, plus assassin state--which is canon and therefore shouldn't count, but w/e.)
Shadows Leena is not a Sue at all, likewise despite my best efforts. *Pouts.* (19) (uhh, temper flaws, and she was an assassin in her last life, and she keeps a diary)
Koteth is a borderline Sue. I'd LOVE to get as much trim as he does! GodDAMN. That's not a secret. XD (36) (In essence? I want to get away with everything he's done.)
I dunno, see, the thing with the mutants is, they all come from what "typical people", (whatever those are), would consider physically abusive backgrounds in varying levels of intense. In Nomad vocabulary, hitting someone = punctuation marks. They all learn real early to quit snivelling like vermin and pull their own damn weight in the family if they expect to get fed.
I'm not sure, then, that they consider it abuse at all. Which means I've officially overthought the question. But I do that. *Shrug.*
I also find it hilarious that Dream/Morpheus of Sandman is supposed to magically not be Gaiman's Gary Stu.

As dearly as I love him, and asdeliciously broody and MADE OF AWESOME as the King of Dreams is...
HE IS GAIMAN'S BELOVED PERFECT AVATAR OF HIMSELF ALL DAY LONG TWICE ON SUNDAY DOUBLE POINTS AT EASTER.
Which is really kind of a shame. Because he's so awesome at the same time.
