I had to go and re-read Shadows. I mean, I remember the main gist of the core plot, and certainly the turn in it I've planned from the beginning, but I couldn't remember who was in the cast besides the Couple and the people I'd made up, and that's not good. XD

I figured out why he did it. I mean, I figured that out a year ago, but now I'm figuring out how to say it.

And, um, well.

I had to reconstruct ppl's birthdays.

So I had to go find this again. Now in prettier, easier to read form.

Telsor is a METAL OX. That is so cool.

Baraka's chart is Water on both counts (Horse or Rabbit, depending on who we ask), and Leena's is Metal (Rat or Ox, depending on the lifetime).

Koteth is a Fire Rat. Brin is a Metal Rabbit.

Ismar is a Wood Goat. *Hee hee snicker.* XD

Yeah, I'm positive anyone but me totally cares, but uh, there you go.

I have no idea what Kitana is; I'm not doing backwards math to find out, and anyway there is no Harpy in the Chinese zodiac. *Halo polish.*

Hmm. Any idea how old he was when he killed Kung Lao the First? That would give you a rough idea of the year Shang was born, and then the table could be consulted.

Like, for instance, say MKI was in 1992; this means KL1 died in 1492 (ahh, round-numbers math XD) and say Shang was like, oh, we'll split the difference between twenty and forty and say thirty even? Makes his birth year 1462: Water Horse.

If he were 20 at that time, 1472: Water Dragon.

OR. If you're going with the movie release date (August 18 1995, and I can't believe I actually remember that, but I do) as Day One of the MKI game, then -500 is 1495; -30 gives us 1465: Wooden Rooster *insert joke here*. XD Or Wooden Goat, which is almost as entertaining. ^_~

But, see, we don't know his official human-body age, or how old he was when he got possessed, so the best we can do is pick through the table for approximate dates. (It's easy to "fix" originals to a particular date 'cause they can be born when you say they were born, but it's tougher with canon characters, depending on what you do with the timeline.)

Um, I think I over-answered the question. XD But there you go! ^_^
