Oh look, more Trek XI Nero chatter brain-nibbles. Be excited! I am.

My top rollbar add has not STOPPED being that free Roman empire game. I cannot imagine why. XD



Nightmares shatter his sleep at ship's dawn, so he puts on his slippers one foot at a time like the rest of us, and thinks about how his wife loved to cook, and he'd give her Spock's heart and they'd have a hell of a custard, there.

I'm pretty sure he sweetens his ROMULAN ALE TEA with the blood of Vulcan infants. And gunpowder. Because he's THAT HARDCORE.

Of course the actual fic will be lyrical and seriocomically heavy-handed dark, because that's all I can ever write.

I still have not figured out exactly how a naked Ayel arrived in his quarters in order to investigate the screaming, BUT HAPPENED TO ARRIVE WITH TEA, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT HE DOES IN MY HEAD, but I'm getting there. *Halo.*

Ayel/Nero srysly. Srysly A LOT.

Who is Ayel?

Ayel is the one who, early on, sneers out "I will speak for Captain Nero" to Poor Disposable Captain of the Kelvin.

He is also the one who later cops an attitude about how weak humans are while strangling the spit out of Kirk, only to get shot. XD

Comics suggest Ayel and Nero have known each other a while.

Ah, cool. See, I wasn't sure if it was someone from the movies (the only named I picked up from that was Nero) or some other Romulan from all the various Trek things I know nothing about. XD

Having seen it again, (IMAX whut! ^___^) there's also a scene where Shit Begins to Go WRONG aboard Narada, and the first thing Nero does after taking in this fact is scream "AYEL!" with this look of naked panic on his face, like, "Where are you?" and my slash goggles insist that this is his concern for his partner overwhelming his captainly judgment. <3

(I know better, consciously, seeing as Ayel's first mate, but there you are.)
